What is check-in time?

The standard check-in time is 15:00. However, early check-in is available upon request and subject to availability.

When is check-out time?

Standard check-out time is 11:00, but late check-out is available upon request and subject to availability.

Is parking available?

Yes, free onsite parking is available for guests.

Are pets allowed, and what is the fee?

Well-behaved pets are welcome. There is a fee of 8 € per night, per pet (up to 2 pets). Please review our pet policy guidelines here
Is breakfast provided?

Our daily breakfast buffet is available from 9:30 to 10:30.

How often is housekeeping provided?

Housekeeping services are provided every 3 days.

Can I order meals other than breakfast?

Yes, additional meals are available. Please place your order 24 or 48 hours in advance.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, free high-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi is available in the cottages and throughout the property.
Can you provide baby cots?

Cots are available upon request at the time of booking, subject to availability.
Is there a laundry service, and what is offered?

Guests can use our washer and dryer for one complimentary load of washing and drying during their stay.
What amenities are available in the kitchens?

Kitchens are fully equipped and stocked with basics such as coffee, tea, spices, and olive oil. Appliances include a microwave, oven, stove top, kettle, etc.
Do you provide airport transfers?

Currently, we do not offer airport pick-up, but we can share the contact information of a local driver who can provide rides to the airport.
Do you recommend renting a car?

Yes, we highly recommend renting a car, as local transportation and amenities are limited. Additionally, there are various nearby sightseeing options you might want to explore with the convenience of a car.

Welcome to Monte da Moita Nova! Before making a reservation, please carefully read and understand the following terms and conditions:

Booking, Payment and Cancelation Policy

  • ​To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit is required upon booking, this deposit is non-refundable, unless cancellation is made within 24H of booking via email to info@moitanova.com

  • No modifications nor cancellations are allowed less than 14 days before the scheduled check-in date.

  • 100% of the reservation will be charged for no-shows and cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled check-in date.

Pet Policy
At Monte da Moita Nova, we understand that pets are part of the family. We welcome well-behaved pets to join you during your stay with us. Please review our pet policy guidelines below:
Pet Fee:

  • A fee of 8 € per night, per pet, up to 2 pets, will be applied to your stay.

Pet Etiquette:

  • Please clean up after your pet and dispose of waste properly. A designated bin marked "trash/lixo" is located behind the bread oven for disposal.

  • Pets must be kept under control at all times, and pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets within the cottages.

Pet Restrictions:

  • Dogs are not permitted to stay in the apartments unaccompanied for more than 2 hours.

  • During the horse feeding times from 8am to 9am and 6pm to 7pm, please keep your dog on a leash.

  • For the safety of both your pet and our horses, please do not allow your dog into any field where the horses are located.

Pet Liability:

  • While we welcome pets, we are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that may occur to your pet during their stay.

  • Pet owners are responsible for any harm caused by their pets to other guests, other animals (including horses), or property within the premises.

Behavioral Expectations:

  • Pets must be sociable with other dogs, cats, and guests. Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.

  • By bringing your pet to Monte da Moita Nova, you agree to comply with our pet policy guidelines. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in additional fees or eviction from the premises without refund. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a pleasant stay for all guests, including our furry friends. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our pet policy, please don't hesitate to contact us.


Accommodation Policies:

  • All guests must provide valid identification upon check-in.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottages. 

  • Pets are allowed; however, guests must notify hotel management in advance, and all pet policies must be adhered to during their stay.

 

Guest Conduct:

  • Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards other guests and hotel staff.

  • Any disruptive or unlawful behavior may result in eviction from the premises without refund.

Damages and Liability:

  • Guests are responsible for any damages caused to the hotel property during their stay.

  • The hotel reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for any damages incurred.

  • Monte da Moita Nova is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to guests or their property during their stay.


Additional Services:

  • Additional services including but not limited to Experience Programs, Riding Programs, Equestrian Experiences, airport transfers and tours may be available upon request and prior reservation.

  • Prices for additional services are subject to change without prior notice.

Force Majeure:

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters or government-mandated restrictions, Monte da Moita Nova reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations as necessary.

  • By making a reservation with Monte da Moita Nova, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.​

Extenuating Circumstances Policy

  • This Extenuating Circumstances Policy outlines how cancellations are managed in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond your control that arise after booking, making it impractical or illegal to proceed with your reservation. This Policy applies to reservations for accommodations.

  • In situations where this Policy allows for cancellation, it supersedes and takes precedence over the standard cancellation policy of your reservation. Guests impacted by events covered by this Policy may cancel their reservation and, depending on the circumstances, may receive a cash refund, travel credit, or other forms of consideration.

Covered Events Policy

  • This policy addresses cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the guest's control, arising post-booking, making it impractical or illegal to proceed with the reservation. It supersedes the standard cancellation policy.

Covered Events:

  • Changes to Government Travel Requirements: Unforeseen alterations to visa or passport requirements by governmental agencies.

  • Declared Emergencies and Epidemics: Government-declared emergencies, epidemics, pandemics, and public health crises.

  • Government Travel Restrictions: Restrictions preventing travel to, staying at, or returning from the hotel location.

  • Military Actions and Other Hostilities: Acts of war, terrorism, civil disorder, and unrest.

  • Natural Disasters: Large-scale natural events, excluding common foreseeable conditions.

Exclusions - Not Covered:

  • Unexpected disease, illness, or injury; government obligations; non-binding travel advisories; event cancellations; transportation disruptions unrelated to covered events.

Refunds:

  • Refunds, travel credits, or other considerations may apply based on the circumstances of the covered event.
